The Carpetweed and Crabgrass are beginning to over-compete with the Bermuda. It was decided to mow the center 1/3 of the plot.
These photos show the mowed section 8 days after mowing. Despite daytime temps between 95°-100°,
both the Carpetweed and Crabgrass exhibited good regrowth.
This photo shows the division between
the mowed and unmowed sections.
Some areas of the unmowed sections are now 12" in height. Hopefully these can be cut for hay(?)
The crabgrass is so dense that the 0.25" of rain that occured yesterday caused some lodging.
